One of my favorite sets of language flash cards is a list of interjections. It’s funny, because many of them we don’t often think of, but we use them fairly often. It’s sort of a lost part of speech, but they can pack in so much meaning into a syllable or two. Here are some examples you can download and print, as well as other sets of language flash cards. Take a look at these interjections and have your students practice one each day!
Aha, Aw, Bye, Boo, Bravo, Cheers, Darn, Eek, Gee, Good Grief, Hello, Hey, Huh?, Oh Dear, Oops, Ouch, Phew, Rats, Shucks, Shh, Thanks, Uh-Oh, Well, Whoa, Wow, Yeah, Yay, Yikes, Yippee, Yuck.

Language flash cards don’t just have to be vocabulary cards. Some of them can be prefix and suffix cards. Some of them help identify proper contractions. Others help you identify parts of speech or common nouns versus proper nouns. Why not take a look at all the sets of free printable flash cards for download at have fun teaching?
